After defeating The Girl, this section opens with a cutscene showing Grace leaving with the unknown man toward Raccoon City, followed by Leon heading there in his Porsche to find her. The scene ends with Sherry saying she may have a lead on their location based on coordinates pulled from Victor’s computer, which is somewhere in the center of Raccoon City. When the cutscene ends, you’re back in control of Leon, now in East Raccoon City.
East Raccoon City
You’ll be prompted to head to Raccoon City Center. A Report on the Raccoon City Incident is automatically added to your Files. Take just a few steps forward and check the right side at the edge of the road to find the Raccoon City Incident Newspaper.
There isn’t much else in the immediate starting area, so keep moving forward. At the main intersection, take a right. On the left side, you’ll see an entrance to Cafe. Head inside and check the wooden cupboard to find a Mr. Raccoon Bobblehead. In this area you will see another door which leads to the kitchen in which you will find Scrap.
Come back out and continue forward until you spot another open building on the left — Applegate Hotel. Head inside and collect the Scrap (next to the globe), Med Injector (behind the table on the shelves), and Shotgun Shells (in front of the luggage cart) scattered around the area. Make your way to the back portion of the building, where you’ll find a revolving door jammed shut by webs. Interact with it to push through to the other side.
Find a Way Out
As you exit the building, a cutscene plays, Leon accidentally crushes a skull underfoot, and a massive spider drops from above and lunges at him. He dives into a nearby building but gets trapped when debris collapses behind him. The cutscene ends, and you’ll be prompted to find a way out.
Immediately break the wooden crate to your right to collect Shotgun Shells, then head down the hallway. You’ll need to slash through several webs blocking your path with your Hatchet as you go.
After the first right turn, the titan spider will smash through the wall directly in front of you. Turn around and run back the way you came immediately, but it will catch up regardless and hurl Leon through a brick wall into the next room.
Get back on your feet and look for a nearby room. Head toward it and you’ll spot more webs blocking a path leading to a metal door. Hack through them with your Hatchet and enter the building. Take the stairs up, and you will reach a room. Right at the entrance, break the wooden crate to find Handgun Ammo.
Enter the room and cross it toward the smaller room on the opposite side. As you approach, a small spider will crawl out to meet you. Shoot it, then head inside where more small spiders will swarm toward you. Don’t underestimate them despite their size; they’re still dangerous. Take them all out before moving to the back of the room. As you do, you’ll catch a glimpse of the titan spider passing by outside the window.
At the far end of the room, you’ll notice a hole in the wall on the left side and a fire escape exit directly ahead on the other side. Make a run for the fire escape, but watch the hole; the spider will lunge through it, so stop before the hole once. Shoot it to drive it back, then climb the ladder up.
Boss Fight: The Titan Spinner
At the top of the ladder, you’ll be prompted to defeat the giant spider. The arena has two floors and canisters that are important to the fight. The first canister is in the far section of the lower floor, and a second one is waiting just up a small ladder in that same section.
The key to this fight is patience and movement. Don’t try to carry the canisters directly; instead, lure the spider toward them and detonate on impact. Your main target is the weak spot on the spider’s back, so you’ll need to maneuver around it constantly. The spider is fast, so use hit-and-run tactics and never stay still for long. Use your Stun Grenades first to slow it down, then detonate a canister when it’s in range to expose the weak spot. Switch to your Shotgun for maximum damage on the back.
There are multiple crates around the arena, break them regularly to restock ammo and make sure you don’t run dry mid-fight. After you deal enough damage, a cutscene will play showing the spider charging directly at Leon before the floor collapses under both of them. They fall together, and when they hit the bottom, Leon finishes the spider off with his Hatchet.
Ridgewood Station
You’ll land in Ridgewood Station and need to get back up to the streets. Jump onto the platform and head up the stairs. On your right, you’ll find a turnstile gate; interact with it to pass through to the other side. Continue forward to another door and use your Hatchet to break through it. Climb the stairs on the other side to reach street level.
The Perimeter Blockade
Back on the streets, you’ll quickly notice that Central Raccoon City has been completely sealed off behind a large perimeter blockade. Someone was clearly here before you and had started building a detonator to blow through the main gate but the job was left unfinished.
From the gate, take the right. After you come to an intersection, go to the extreme end to find a rusted car, open it’s trunk to find Shotgun Shells. On the left side, check the rusted van for Handgun Ammo in the driver’s seat. After you have collected these on the right side of intersection look for a Blue camp and head towards it.
The Camp
Head down the nearby stairs toward the gate at the bottom , it’s locked, and you’ll be prompted to search the camp. Go back up the stairs and enter the blue tent on the left. Inside, check the left side to find the Order for the Engineer Corps file, which lists the locations of three missing detonator parts needed to get through the main gate:
- Signal Receiver — East Point
- Distributor — Mid Point
- Relay — West Point
In the right corner of the tent, you’ll find a supply box with a Tactical Tracker on top of it. This device lets Leon earn credits by recording combat data, which can then be spent on weapons, upgrades, and ammo. Before leaving the camp, check the crate outside for Handgun Ammo and Shotgun Shells.
Close to the camp, there is also a Yellow Generator which you can turn on to restore the power supply within the camp and trigger a short cutscene. After you do so, you will be able to use the Laptop within the camp as well, which will trigger a cutscene and notify Victor that you have triggered the alarm, and Zeno (the unknown man) asks Victor to handle it!

With the perimeter blockade standing between Leon and the city center, the next objective is clear: track down all three missing detonator parts to blow the gate open.
