Resident Evil Requiem Leon Must Die Forever Walkthrough

Leon Must Die Forever is a free minigame added to Resident Evil Requiem as a post-launch DLC update. It can be accessed by anyone who has finished the main campaign. To find it, head to the main menu and select Extra Games. The goal is straightforward: reach and eliminate Victor Gideon before the clock hits zero.

How Leon Must Die Forever Works

The Enhancer tool is your main tool throughout every run. Defeating enemies fills it up, and once it’s full, you can spend it to draw an Enhancer that is a passive ability that stacks on top of everything else you have. You have eight slots to work with, but two of them are locked by default. To move between stages, find the glowing red doors on the map and walk through them. Each one takes you into a new area with tougher enemies than the last.

You can choose your own route and eventually reach Victor as the end goal. The shortest route would be just clearing 3 areas before fighting Victor. However, I really don’t recommend taking the shortest route, as it is better to farm your resources before the main boss battle. The most important thing you need to remember is that deaths are permanent. Weapon crates are fixed in place so their locations don’t change between runs. Apart from this, the gameplay is quite simple: go through the area, defeat the enemies, reach the doors, and go to the next area, and at last you reach Victor and defeat her.

The best strategy from my runs is to keep moving and try not to stand in one place for too long. The path is pretty linear within the areas, and considering you have already completed the main campaign (since the mode unlocks after that), I don’t feel you will have any trouble navigating through the areas. Another thing that I can recommend to you is that you make sure you take down Midas spinners every time you see them. Every one you kill buys more time, which directly extends how long you can keep building your loadout before pushing toward Victor.

You don’t have to worry much about ammo, as you will easily find it scattered around the map. The Hatchet cannot be sharpened the way it can in the main game. Instead, look for glowing green Hatchet Repair power-ups scattered across the map. These fully restore its durability, so picking them up whenever you see them is worth it.

Also, make sure you regularly buy the Enhancers after you trigger them. Look at the bottom right of your screen when the enhancer fills up and turns golden, press L1 and Triangle to trigger an Enhancer draw. You will be given three choices, and you need to choose one. Read them carefully and select the one you feel works with your playstyle.

The boss battles work similarly to the main campaign, so as long as you have completed the campaign, you shouldn’t have any trouble. Also, make sure you pick up health items such as herbs regularly and use them whenever you are low.

All Enemy Types in Resident Evil Requiem Leon Must Die Forever

  • Red Variants: Red variant enemies are resistant to gunfire. Make use of close combat attacks, hand grenades, and gas canisters to eliminate them.
  • Blue Variant: Performing a successful parry against a blue variant enemy presents a short period of time during which you can inflict more damage. Use this to your advantage to kill them faster.
  • Midas Spinners (Yellow): Defeat Midas Spinners to extend your remaining time. Every second counts, so try to remember where they appear.
