After the events of Chapter 1: Dead in the Water, you, your sister, and Hood cut down a massive tree to create a bridge and cross to the next island. It’s a dense forest filled with corpses hanging from the branches. As they cross, an ice cream truck appears from behind, a giant creature then offers Hood an ice cream, and it takes him. Chapter 2: The Cleaning House picks up right after this cutscene ends.
Reanimal Chapter 2 Walkthrough
The Empty City
Once the cutscene ends, follow the path until you come across a car sitting in the middle of the road. Interact with it to turn it on, and it will begin moving on its own. Follow the car down the road until you arrive at an eerie, empty city. Continue following the path forward.
You’ll soon reach a large hole in the street. On the left side of the hole, you’ll find a car — close its trunk first, then use it as a stepping stone to jump across. On the left side of the street, you’ll see a steel roll-up door. Open it, then crouch and head inside the cloth store.
Make your way to the back of the counter to enter a small room with a pig head resting on a table. On the floor to the left, you’ll find a small pig head served on a plate. You need to pick it up and wear it as a mask.
Return to the front of the store and push both mannequins standing in the middle. Their heads will fall off, and you can pick one up to throw it at the window to break it. Jump out through the broken window, then board the ice cream truck parked in front of the cinema. Use it to open a path to go past the road and enter the building across from the cinema. Once inside, exit through the broken section of the building and keep following the path until you see a wire fence.
The Cinema
Jump across the fence and look inside a luggage bag on the right side to find a bolt cutter. Use it to open the lock on the gate. With the gate open, head back to the cinema.
When you enter the cinema, you can see a poster on the right side of your screen. Collect it! Then, use the bolt cutter on the door directly ahead to open it. Before this, you can collect a Propaganda Poster just right next to the cinema entrance. You can also pick up a brick next to the entrance stairs. Throw it to the popcorn cart beside the theatre entrance to unlock Rock n Pop achievement.
Head inside the theatre and make your way across the hall by crouching behind the back row of seats — the giant creature is inside the theatre, so try not to be spotted. Follow where the giant creature goes and slip out through the exit door at the back. Cross over to the next building and look for a cracked section of the wall. Press against it to break through and enter the building.
The Cleaning House
Inside, go through the wooden door and watch out for the large hole on your side. Carefully navigate around it. Take the first corner you see and have a seat on the wooden bench to mark off the Rest Up Your Legs trophy. There will also be an empty playground in front of you. Walk to the fence to tear down another Propaganda Poster.
Then, go back close to the hole and you’ll eventually spot a huge container filled with corpses in front of a building. Push the container to the right to reveal a hole in the floor. Jump down into it and crouch immediately, as the giant creature is in this Cleaning House, ironing clothes.
Stay low and keep moving until you find a small steel door just next to a rolling door — go through it. The next room requires even more caution. Crouch and use the washing tubs as cover to sneak across to the other side.
When you reach the room with cages, the giant creature will catch you and lock you inside one of them. Let this happen. Once locked in, look to the corner of your cage to find a corpse with a pry bar lodged in its stomach. Pull it out and use it to pry open the cage door. From here, head to the first cage on the right side and use the pry bar to free Hood.
With all three of you free, run back toward the same way you enter the building. However, before you do that, try to sit on the toilet just between the cages for the Rest Up Your Legs trophy tasks. When you are trying to get out, use any available hiding spots along the way — containers, trolleys, and similar objects — to avoid being caught by the creature.
Escaping the Building
Run back to the wooden door you passed through before entering the Cleaning House. As you arrive, a second, much larger creature will wake up. All the three of you must hide under the table. This turns into a hide-and-seek sequence where you need to keep shifting left and right under the table to avoid being spotted. Once the creature leaves, sprint toward the entrance and exit the room as quickly as possible.
Head back to the cinema building and enter the first door you see on the left side. You’ll find a door sealed with nailed wood. Since you still have the pry bar, use it to break through. Across the door you will get to sit on the toilet again for another Rest Up Your Legs trophy task. Then exit the cinema from a new direction.
The Gas Station
This time, pass the broken building without entering it. Keep going right until you find a door with a small roof above it. Head inside and break the traffic cone, then wear it as your new mask.
Return to the broken building, but be careful — a large creature will appear. Run back inside and hide until it moves away. Once it’s gone, head out and follow the path to the left until you reach a locked gate. Open it with your pry bar.
You’ll now be at a gas station. In the middle of the station, there’s a corpse holding a jerry can. Take the jerry can and fill it up with gasoline. Before you can finish, corpses will begin closing in on you and it turns out a giant creature has been hiding inside the corpse with the jerry can. Run toward the parking lot and keep moving without getting caught. Find the tunnel on the right side, which leads back to the cinema area.
Remember the ice cream truck you moved earlier? Pour the gasoline into the truck, then get behind the wheel and accelerate straight toward the gate.
Boss Encounter: The Giant Creature
Keep driving fast and follow the road. The giant creature will suddenly appear directly in front of your truck — drive straight to hit him and keep going, dragging him along with the vehicle. He will then force his way in through the window.
Hide and fight back using your pry bar, hitting him repeatedly until a cutscene triggers. The giant creature will fall from the truck — but so does the truck itself, plummeting into a sinkhole. That’s where Chapter 2 ends.

Chapter 2: Cleaning House is a tense, slow-burn experience that gradually escalates from sneaking past enemies to a high-speed chase finale. After the truck falls into the sinkhole, you’ll be heading into Chapter 3: After the Flood.
