Reanimal Chapter 4: No Shelter Walkthrough

Chapter 3 ends with you boarding a bus and heading to your next destination. After a short ride, the bus pulls up and you step off. Chapter 4: No Shelter begins here.

The Mansion Exterior

As soon as you get off the bus, you’ll see a large mansion directly ahead of you. Before heading inside, look to the left at the electric pole near the entrance; there’s a Poster attached to it. Tear it down to progress toward the Proper Gander trophy.

Head up the stairs and peek through the main door. A short cutscene will play showing a child running around inside. Once it ends, make your way around the right side of the mansion to continue.

On the right side, you’ll find a set of stairs leading up to a platform, followed by a ladder propped against the wall. Climb it. At the top, take the right path and keep following it until you reach another ladder leading up to a clock. Adjust the clock’s hand so that you can slip through the gap in the glass from the right side.

The Clock Room

Once inside, you’ll notice 13 frozen statues scattered around the room and clustered near the central pillar. Destroying all of them unlocks the Scared to Dust trophy.

In the left corner of the room, you’ll spot a couch, sit on it to rest your legs, and progress toward the Take a Load Off trophy. Next to the couch, you’ll notice a small library wall with a hole in it. Crouch through it to enter a secret room, where you’ll find another Poster along with a critter enemy that will immediately flee back into the main room. Tear down the poster and head back out.

Take down the critter in the main room, it will drop a mask and also count toward the Critter Hit trophy. On the opposite side of the room, open the wardrobe to reveal a secret passage. Head through it. In the next area, you’ll see a box sitting on top of a trapdoor. Move the box out of the way, then interact with the trapdoor to open it and drop down to the floor below, landing on a bed.

The Spider Kids

From the bed, follow the path to the right and destroy the statues blocking the way ahead. This leads you to a group of children known as the Spider Kids. Before engaging them, there’s an optional trophy here, if the Spider Kids grab your sister and you don’t save her in time, she’ll be killed and you’ll unlock the Survival Instinct trophy. To continue through the story, defeat the Spider Kids and move through the hallway. At the far right end, you’ll notice a hole in the wall. Squeeze through it to enter a room containing a prayer statue. Light it to progress toward the Praying for the Dying trophy, then head back to the hallway.

On the left wall of the hallway, you’ll spot a vent. Interact with it to crawl inside. Once through, you’ll see your friend being dragged away by Spider Kids. This area is crawling with them, but focus on the King Spider Kid, the one wearing a crown, as he’ll try to escape the moment the fight starts. Take him down quickly to make him drop his crown. Pick it up and wear it to unlock the Long Live the King trophy, then finish off the remaining Spider Kids.

Through the Mansion

After the fight, head toward the petrified statue with sunlight falling on it and destroy it. Follow the staircase to find a door. In the next room, jump across the broken wooden path and go through the door on the opposite side.

As soon as you enter, you’ll see a couch directly in front of you. Sit on it to make further progress toward the Take a Load Off trophy. Once you’re done, follow the main path until you find a lever on the right wall, pull it to turn the lights on. Directly across from it, there’s a door on the left wall. Open it and head through.

This new area is filled with bunk beds. Work your way through anddefeat the two Spider Kids you encounter. At the far end of the room, you’ll find another Poster on the wall, tear it down. Two more Spider Kids will immediately appear: one drops down from the top of the beds and another comes through a cloth-covered passage on the left. Defeat them both, then head through the passage they came from.

Defeat all the Spider Kids in this new area, then squeeze through the gap at the end of the path. Turn right and go through the nearby door, which brings you back into a hallway. Before heading right, take a left and you’ll find a hidden room through a gap in the broken wall. Interact with the mask inside to collect it.

Head back to the door and this time go right. Jump across the broken wooden path and take the left door into a dark room. Turn on your light source and make your way through. At the far end, you’ll find a door blocked shut, use your crowbar to force it open and head through.

The Lower Floor

You’ll come out on an upper floor. On the left side, use the wardrobe to climb down to the lower floor. Once down, use the plank to jump across the broken section of the path. On the other side, interact with the wardrobe to topple it, creating a bridge for your sister to cross. Once she’s safely over, escape through the door in this area.

Saving Your Friend

In the next room, you’ll watch the Spider Kids send your friend down into a dark hole. Defeat the Spider Kids, but before rescuing your friend, check the door on the right side of the room, it’s adjacent to the door you entered from. Head inside to find a coffin. Open it to free the spirit within.

Return to the main room. On the right side of the stage, you’ll find a cog-shaped lever. Interact with it to start raising your friend back up, but it’s a trap. A cutscene plays as the Spider Kids ambush you, and the screen goes black. When you wake up, you’ll unlock the It’s a Trap! trophy. You find yourself hanging from a rope at the bottom of the same hole your friend was dropped into. That’s the end of Chapter 4: No Shelter.
