Talent Overview
Normal Attack
Normal Attack
Performs up to 4 consecutive spear strikes.
Charged Attack
Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to perform an upward slash.
Plunging Attack
Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact.

Emilie’s normal attacks are relatively underwhelming. Given that, they should not be used very often.1
Elemental Skill
Creates a Lumidouce Case that deals AoE Dendro DMG.
Lumidouce Case (will be called a “turret” or simply “E” from now on)
- Fires Puffs of Puredew at nearby opponents at intervals, dealing Dendro DMG.
- When nearby opponents are affected by Burning, they will give off Scents at intervals, and 1 Scent can be created this way every 2s. The Lumidouce Case collects nearby Scents. The Lumidouce Case will level up after gathering 2 of them, after which it will fire 1 extra Puff of Puredew when firing, while the DMG dealt by and DMG AoE of the above attack will also be increased.
- 1 Lumidouce Case created by Emilie herself can exist at any one time. The Case starts at Level 1 and can go up to Level 2. If the Case does not collect any Scents for 8s while it is on the field, it will go back to Level 1.
Arkhe: Pneuma
At intervals, after Emilie creates a Lumidouce Case this way, a Spiritbreath Thorn will descend in front of her and pierce her opponent, dealing Pneuma-aligned Dendro DMG.

Multipliers
| Lvl 1 | Lvl 6 | Lvl 9 | Lvl 10 | |
| Lvl 1 turret DMG% | 39.6 | 55.44 | 67.32 | 71.28 |
| Lvl 2 turret DMG% | 84 x 2 | 117.6 x 2 | 142.8 x 2 | 151.8 x 2 |
This is one of Emilie’s main sources of damage. As we can see, Emilie’s turret at level 2 does quadruple the damage of a level 1 turret. As such, we should seek to maximize the uptime of her level 2 turret.
Elemental Burst
Guiding the fragrances collected within the Case, Emilie converts them into pure Dendro energy, creating a Level 3 Lumidouce Case and stowing existing Cases away.
While it exists, the Level 3 Lumidouce Case will not gather nearby Scents, but it will continuously cause Scented Dew to descend, attacking opponents within range and dealing Dendro DMG. During this time, 1 drop of Scented Dew will descend every 0.3 seconds, and 1 opponent can become the target every 0.7 seconds.
When the duration ends, a Level 1 Lumidouce Case will be recreated. If a Lumidouce Case was stowed away when using Aromatic Explication, then the Case that was stowed away will be deployed instead, and its duration will be reset.
While Aromatic Explication is active, the Elemental Skill “Fragrance Extraction” will not create a Lumidouce Case.

This talent essentially does a few big bursts of damage before returning the turret back to its original state (if a turret existed when Emilie used her burst). However, if no turret existed, a level 1 turret would be created.
Multipliers
| Lvl 1 | Lvl 6 | Lvl 9 | Lvl 10 | |
| Level 3 turret DMG% | 217.2 | 304.08 | 369.24 | 390.96 |
1st Ascension Passive
Each time it collects 2 Scents, the Level 2 Lumidouce Case will consume Scents and release Cleardew Cologne that deals AoE Dendro DMG equal to 600% of Emilie’s ATK to opponents. This DMG is not considered Elemental Skill DMG.
While burning auras persist on enemies, Emilie’s turret will periodically deal a large burst of AOE damage. However, it is not considered Elemental Skill DMG. This is Emilie’s second source of damage.
4th Ascension Passive
Emilie deals increased DMG to Burning opponents based on her ATK, with every 1,000 ATK increasing DMG dealt by 15%. The maximum DMG bonus that can be gained this way is 36%.
A nice passive that increases Emilie’s damage against Burning opponents
Utility Passive
When the Lumidouce Case created by Emilie is on the field, all party members gain 85% Pyro RES against Burning DMG.
A welcome passive that reduces the ability of characters to be killed by self-burning.2

Constellations
Descriptions are condensed. Good constellations are given a ⭐.
| C1⭐ | Turret and A1 damage is increased by 20%. Additionally, the rate of triggering A1 damage is increased by 69%3 | Huge increase for Emilie’s personal damage |
| C2⭐ | Dealing damage decreases Dendro RES by 30% | Good support con. It allows running without Deepwood, and it opens up possibilities for running non-Burning Dendro teams |
| C3 | Increase E by 3 levels | Standard talent upgrade constellation. Nearly half of her damage is through her A1, so this is not as impactful. |
| C4 | Burst is 70% longer, and it can switch opponents must faster | Her burst is not much of her damage, so this is not as impactful. |
| C5 | Increase Q by 3 levels | Standard talent upgrade constellation. Her Q isn’t a huge part of her kit, so not really important |
| C6⭐ | Emilie generates scents through normal and charged attacks after using E. Additionally, her normal and charged attack damage is converted to Dendro and increased. | A powerful constellation that allows Emilie to be played as an on-field main DPS. |
Combos
| E | Emilie places a level 1 turret on the field and leaves. |
| Q | Used when Emilie has full energy and a level 2 turret is present. Allows greater level 2 turret uptime and a small burst of damage |
Do not use EQ or QE. Using EQ will place a level 1 turret and cost you level 2 turret uptime compared to just using Q. Using Q also implicitly resets the duration of the turret, so using E again is not needed
Weapons
![]() Lumidouce Elegy | Emilie’s signature weapon. This weapon provides her with a large amount of ATK% as well as DMG% bonus against Burning opponents. Additionally, it provides Emilie with a good amount of energy to allow her to burst every rotation more comfortably. |
![]() Calamity Queller | Calamity Queller has the highest base attack of any weapon in the game. Additionally, its passive and secondary stats also give a lot of attack. However, it provides no crit. |
![]() Primordial Jade-Winged Spear | PJWs is a very good weapon with high base ATK and CRIT Rate. Its passive also provides a good ATK% bonus. |
![]() Fractured Halo4 | This weapon provides good base attack and CRIT DMG. Its passive also gives Emilie some ATK%. |
![]() Deathmatch | Emilie’s best 4* weapon for her personal damage. However, it can only be obtained from the BP. |
![]() Sacrificer’s Staff | A 4* weapon with high Base ATK and some CRIT. Additionally, its passive gives some more ATK%. However, it is wish-exclusive. |
![]() Missive Windspear | A good weapon that was available during a previous event. However, it is no longer available to obtain. |
![]() Blackcliff Pole | A 4* weapon permanently available from the Starglitter shop. However, its passive is extremely situational, and the 55.1% CRIT DMG can be hard to build around. |
Energy Recharge Requirement
Emilie should not build energy recharge, as bursting every rotation will reduce her personal damage by a significant amount. However, with Lumidouce Elegy, she can comfortably burst every rotation with a few ER substats
Artifacts
Artifact Sets
![]() Unfinished Reverie | Unfinished Reverie provides Emilie with 18% ATK and 54% DMG bonus. It is her clear BIS. However, it is kind of painful to farm. |
![]() Deepwood Memories | Deepwood can be used if there are no other sources of Dendro RES shred in the team. |
![]() Golden Troupe5 | Golden Troupe buffs her elemental skill damage by a lot. However, since her A1 damage is not considered elemental skill damage, Golden Troupe falls off. 2pc/2pc sets perform similarly |
Main Stats
| Sands | Goblet | Circlet |
| ATK% | Dendro | CRIT DMG/Rate6 |
Stat Priority
CRIT > ATK%
Emilie should not build EM as she deals direct Dendro DMG (which only scales on her CRIT and ATK), not DMG through the Burning reaction.
Teambuilding
Due to her damage heavily relying on burning, Emilie should pick teammates that facilitate the Burning reaction. Furthermore, she should also pick teammates that can benefit from either a Dendro sub DPS or the permanent Burning aura.
Notable Teammates
Dendro
Kinich | Kinich is a Dendro DPS who greatly benefits from the Burning reaction, making him a good teammate and on-fielder for Emilie |
Nahida | Nahida is a good Deepwood holder. She also applies a lot of Dendro and has some personal damage. |
Pyro
A Pyro unit is mandatory to trigger Burning
Durin | Durin has good Pyro application and sub DPS. Additionally, he can hold Deepwood, and he has a good amount of RES shred baked into his kit. |
Mavuika | Mavuika also has a consistent off-field Pyro application, meaning she can also function as a Deepwood holder. While Burning isn’t her best on-field team, she is perfectly functional. |
Bennett | Bennett is a powerful ATK buffer that is a great option for many of Emilie’s teammates (e.g., Kinich). At C6, he can also facilitate Emilie’s on-field playstyle by infusing her attacks with Pyro and allowing her to maintain 100% Burning uptime. |
Xiangling | Xiangling is a good F2P Pyro sub DPS. However, she is much harder to build and manage than either Durin or Mavuika, especially in the energy department |
Lyney | Lyney is a Pyro DPS who gains a DMG% Bonus when dealing enemies with Pyro auras, which means that Emilie is a sutiable sub DPS for his mono-pyro teams |
Arlecchino | Arlecchino is a main DPS who plays quite well in mono-pyro compositions |
Klee | Due to her high rate of elemental application, Kkee shines in mono-pyro teams, which Emilie can slot quite nicely into. |
Cryo
Cryo units can take advantage of the Burning aura on enemies to trigger Melt
Wriothesley | Wriothesley is a Cryo DPS who can play in melt teams to amplify his damage. |
Ganyu | Similar to Wriothesley, Ganyu can also utilize melt teams. |
Rosaria | Rosaria has decent damage in reverse Melt team compositions. |
Hydro
Hydro units can take advantage of the Burning aura on enemies to vaporize their attacks
Mualani | Due to her low rate of attack, Mualani is able to vaporize all of her attacks against Burning enemies, making Emilie synergistic with her. |
Electro
Electro units can take advantage of the Burning aura on enemies to trigger Aggravate. However, too much Electro (or a messed-up rotation) can result in the Burning aura being overpowered by Overload, resulting in worse uptime on Emilie’s level 2 turret.
Fischl | Fischl is a powerful Electro sub DPS who can take advantage of the Aggravate reaction to further boost her damage. Her Hexerei resonance also allows her to buff the whole party’s ATK% when triggering Overload. |
Yae Miko | Yae Miko is very similar to Fischl, with slightly more personal damage. However, she is clankier to play and does not have Hexerei resonance. |
Clorinde | Clorinde is an Electro DPS who can take advantage of consistent Aggravate triggers and Emilie’s sub DPS. |
Geo
Geo characters do not interfere with the Burning aura and can be used as Emilie’s teammates.
Zhongli | Zhongli provides a strong shield and a 20% Universal RES Shred. Even though Emilie’s passive does mitigate self-burning damage, sustainless teams still may find themselves in trouble, especially in melee combat. Zhongli can also hold Deepwood or ToTM, though pillar placement against large enemies may be tricky |
Xilonen | Xilonen cannot shred Dendro. However, if Emilie is paired with a Pyro, Electro, Hydro, or Cryo DPS, Xilonen can be a huge benefit for that DPS |
Chiori | Chiori is a Geo sub DPS who does not interfere with the Burning aura. However, she is not very synergistic with Emilie due to her strict team requirements. |
Anemo
Anemo units can trigger the Swirl reaction and hold VV to help the DPS of swirable elements. Furthermore, they can also provide Pyro application if needed.
Kazuha | Kazuha can swirl Pyro with his skill and burst to consistently apply it. Furthermore, he also has strong CC, allowing Emilie to take advantage of her strong AOE damage |
Jean | Jean/Bennett (Sunfire Jean) is a strong combination that can consistently swirl Pyro onto enemies |
Example Teams
Kinich/Durin7/Bennett8/Emilie Emilie Q/E > Durin EEQ > Bennett EQ > Kinich combo A classic Burning team. Kinich and Emilie can hold DPS sets, and Durin can hold Deepwood for further RES shred. |
Arlecchino9/Bennett/Lan Yan10/Emilie Arle E > Emilie Q/E > Bennet EQ > Lan Yan E N1 > Arle combo A Burning team with a Pyro DPS. In this team, Lan Yan can hold TTDS and VV for further buffs. |
Ganyu11/Bennett/Durin/Emilie Emilie Q/E > Durin EEQ > Bennet EQ > Ganyu combo A classic Burnmelt team. Durin and Emilie can sustain a Burning aura, while Ganyu is able to melt all of her charged shots. |
Mualani12/Durin/Xilonen/Emilie Emilie Q/E > Durin EEQ > Xilonen EN2Q13 > Mualani combo A Burnvape team. Xilonen can buff both Durin and Mualani’s damage. Since Durin and Emilie maintain the Burning aura, Mualani can vape a lot of her damage. |
Clorinde/Fischl/Durin/Emilie Durin QEE14 > Emilie Q/E > Fischl Q/E15 > Clorinde combo A Burngravvate team. Durin and Emilie maintain the Burning aura to allow Clorinde and Fischl to react with Dendro. Additionally, Fischl and Durin activate Hexerei resonance. |
Fischl/Bennett/Xiangling16/Emilie Bennett QE > Xiangling QE > Emilie Q/E > Fischl Q/E17 > whatever you want18 A good F2P team for Emilie. While there is no clear on-fielder19, Xiangling and Emilie can maintain a Burning aura for Fischl to trigger Aggravate on. |
Footnotes
- This changes at C6
- Self-burning is when characters “hug” a burning enemy and take the damage from burning that the enemy would have also taken. This can do upwards of 2000 damage per second, finishing many characters in 6 or 7 seconds
- Assuming 100% burning and level 2 turret uptime
- Other good 5* CRIT statsticks, like Staff of Homa, are in this category too
- 2pc 2pc sets perform similarly to 4pc Golden Troupe
- Pick based on your CRIT Ratio
- Durin can be substituted with Mavuika or Xiangling
- Bennett can be replaced with Iansan if survivability is not a concern
- Other Pyro DPSes, like Lyney and Klee, are also good picks
- Can be replaced with Zhongli
- Wriothesley is a good choice too
- Neuvillette and other Hydro DPS are technically usable here. However, due to their ICD and frequent hydro application, vaporize teams are not particularly usable. The one exception may be C6 Furina.
- Q if healing needed
- EQE or EEQ can also work depending on Energy needs.
- Choose one of either Q or E, not both. Use Q on the first rotation.
- Xiangling can be replaced with a Pyro on-fielder
- Choose one of either Q or E, not both. Use Q on the first rotation.
- If your Xiangling is starved for energy, you can periodically switch to Bennett to use his Elemental Skill for particles.
- If Bennett is C6, either Xiangling or Emilie can be on-field, depending on who needs the energy.
