After defeating the first Axon, Visages, a cutscene plays where Sciel saves the rest of the party. The Mask Keeper’s body disappears and the team heads back to camp. Before moving on to the second Axon, Sirene, there are a few things worth doing at camp first.
Back at Camp
The cutscene you see when you arrive at camp depends on which Axon you defeated first. In this walkthrough, Visages was defeated first, so the cutscene shows the Curator asking Maelle to hand something over. If you had defeated Sirene first instead, this cutscene would have shown Maelle receiving a weapon called Barrier Breaker from the Curator.
Once the scene ends, take some time to do the following before moving on.
Talk to each character individually to raise your relationship levels. When the game asks if you want to spend time with them, choose yes to progress the relationship. Here is what you can unlock by doing this:
- Gradient Attack: Doom — Sciel at Relationship Level 4
- Gradient Attack: Phoenix Flame — Maelle at Relationship Level 4
- Monoco Haircut Viking and Verso Haircut Samurai — Monoco at Relationship Level 3

Visit the Expedition Flag to upgrade your attributes, then speak with the Curator to upgrade your weapons. This is a good time to make sure your team is ready before going into Sirene’s area.
At the campfire, choose “Check up on others” to trigger a short cutscene of Verso playing piano. When it ends, you receive Record Lettre a Maelle.
Also select “Write in the journal of Gustave’s apprentices” to see a short scene of Maelle writing in Gustave’s journal.
When you have done everything, choose “Go to sleep” to continue.

How to Get to Sirene
Back on the world map, head east from your current position. Keep going until you reach a portal in a desert-like area. It is easy to spot. Walk into it to enter Sirene’s domain.
Once inside, follow the main path forward. A cutscene will play shortly after, giving you a brief introduction to Sirene and showing her ability to manipulate people’s minds. When it ends, you are ready to face the second Axon.
